PHS Technology: “The school's faculty integrates the traditional classroom with the latest Internet technologies every day. Each teacher maintains an Online Classroom and Discussion Forum to facilitate online communication with students. To maximize your daughter’s learning experience while attending Providence, it is highly recommended your child have regular, reliable access to a personal computer with an Internet connection.” <recommended software/hardware>

The School's network is a robust Windows-based environment connecting 156 devices to serve approximately 400 users. Below are some quick facts:

Network Infrastructure - Traditional Cat5 cabling throughout campus with a fiber backbone connecting buildings. Several wireless access points are strategically located to provide students/teachers with wireless mobility.

Server Technology - 4 Hewlett-Packard servers, each powered by dual Intel Zeon processors, easily respond to network users demands. Windows Server 2003 is the Network Operating System of choice.

Client Workstations - A blend of desktops & towers equipped with Intel Pentium technology are used. All workstations are multimedia capable. Each classroom workstation is enhanced with a LCD projector and an 8-foot projection screen.
