- Students Against Destructive
Decisions (S.A.D.D.) - strives to make the entire Providence community aware of
the dangers of drinking and driving and using chemical substances. SADD
encourages students to make wise decisions that will have an impact on
their future life. Some of the activities members participate in are: Day
of the Dead, Tree of Life, Chain of Life, Prom Promise. During SADD
Awareness Month (April), members distribute messages in various ways:
announcements over the P.A., flyers, posters, ringing of a bell every 15
minutes on a designated day to commemorate all those Americans who were
killed by drunk drivers that day. Members feel very strongly about the
importance of presenting these activities to the student body.
- National Honor Society - A hub of Providence pride is our campus chapter of
the NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY. Membership in this organization is open to

into this continuing tradition of excellence. National Honor Society members undertake numerous
service projects benefiting not only Providence High School but the
community as well—from tutoring our Providence Prep students, to acting
as teacher aides for busy faculty, to assisting citizen groups and
individuals of all ages with time, attention, companionship, and caring.

Liturgical Choir -
The Liturgical Choir is a musical group that contributes to the
spiritual development of Providence High School by leading the
school in prayer through song at the various liturgies of the year.
In the Liturgical Choir, a student shares her musical talents
without seeking compensation, a gift generously offered so as to
make liturgy and prayer meaningful. Students are invited to share
their particular musical expertise in a variety of ways, through
singing, playing an instrument – guitar, piano, flute, violin,
cello, etc., or being a cantor. Occasionally we sing songs in
different languages. The Liturgical choir is responsible for the
prayerful performance of song at the liturgies celebrated at
Providence. The work of the Liturgical Choir is a work of service to
others, and any student enrolled at Providence is warmly welcomed to
contribute to its efforts.
