The Multicultural Club recognizes and promotes the cultural diversity at
Providence High School. The club presents the Black Heritage
Performance, promoting the accomplishments of that culture and The Cinco
de Mayo performance promoting the Filipino, German, Irish, French,
Spanish and Mexican Culture. These programs consist of songs, dances and
pros. For the Black Heritage program we invite outside speakers such as
the Buffalo Soldier Organization and guest performers such as Ilé Bajia
de San Antonio, an afro-brazilian dance company. The Cinco de Mayo
program is a collaboration of ideas generated by the members. Anyone
that wants to perform may do so, even if they've never had a lesson in
their life. The choreographers are the members themselves.
