Providence has two 24 workstation labs.

Kids have many ways of socializing and communicating online, but they come with certain risks. Net Cetera: Chatting With Kids About Being Online encourages parents to reduce the risks by talking to kids about how they communicate — online and off. The Guide covers what parents need to know, where to go for more information, and issues to raise with kids about living their lives online

Our library is fully equipped for Internet research.

The school's faculty integrates the traditional classroom with the latest Internet technologies every day. Each teacher maintains an Online Classroom and Discussion Forum to facilitate online communication with students. To maximize your learning experience while attending Providence, it is highly recommended you have regular, reliable access to a personal computer with an Internet connection. Preferably a broadband connection.

Software Used -

On Campus Data Storage - Each student has limited storage space set aside on the server. All your homework files can safely be stored here and retrieved each day for editing or presentation purposes. Files kept on the server are backed up each night. If you ever accidently delete a file, the Tech Office can quickly restore it for you.

Removable Data Storage - Removable storage media, such as USB drives, are prohibited do to virus and malware possibilities. Here at Providence there is need for removable storage. Students can easily upload their electronic homework by using Student Lockers via EDLINE.

Client Workstations - A blend of desktops & towers equipped with Intel Pentium technology are used. All workstations are multimedia capable. Each classroom workstation is enhanced with a LCD projector and an 8-foot projection screen.

Internet Content Filtering - SonicWALL security devices protect the PHS network from a wide range of Internet threats, such as viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, e-mail-based fraud attempts and illicit or unproductive Web content.

Email Filtering - MX Logic's email virus protection experts maintain and upgrade our email and spam blocker utility continuously to keep a step ahead of Spammers and virus authors.
