WHAT'S THE
BUZZ
The PROVUE is a
published product of the Providence High
School Journalism class. The class is
composed of talented writers who are always
looking for the latest scoop.
Through the
PROVUE, students are able to stay informed
with campus news, activities as well as
local or global issues. “The Provue contains
a wide range of information that actually
pertains to Providence students”, says staff
writer, Ilsa Sanchez (10). With bake sales,
the journalism staff is able to distribute
the PROVUE at no cost to the entire student
body as well as faculty and staff.
This year the
journalism students will produce a total of
six issues. They will also be able to go
behind the scenes and see what it takes to
produce a local newspaper by visiting La
Prensa and San Antonio Press. “Going to La
Prensa was an experience for me, and I was
able to learn a lot of interesting facts
that I didn’t know before about the
newspaper business”, says Mary Biediger
(10).
By
maintaining high journalism standards, the
Providence reporters will deliver an
accurate and honest paper.
