Elise Marie Denoux:

Charlene Ibrom: Preparatory Principal
Charlene Ibrom is the principal of Providence Preparatory. She
earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English and history
from Texas A&M University in College Station and her education
hours from the University of the Incarnate Word. She holds a Texas
secondary (6-12) teaching certificate for English and history. Mrs.
Ibrom has been working in Catholic schools for over twenty years
level as a middle school religion and social studies teacher. She
has also taught language arts and science. Although not a native
Texan, Mrs. Ibrom has lived in Texas most of her life. Mrs. Ibrom is
married and has three children - two "grown up" and one
still in middle school - and one grandchild. She enjoys reading and
old movies. Nancy Niehoff:
6, 7 and 8 Language Arts
Mrs. Niehoff has lived in San Antonio for
thirty-six years. She is a high school graduate of Incarnate Word class
of 1986. Mrs. Niehoff holds an M.A. in comparative literature and a B.A.
in English and history. She began her teaching career in 1995 teaching
fourth grade then moved to the middle school grades the next year.
Teaching has become a family tradition; her great-grandfather was a
one-room schoolhouse teacher, her grandmother taught first grade for
thirty-six years, and her father recently retired from a thirty-year
career as a chemistry teacher. Mrs. Niehoff brings the knowledge and
experience of generations into the classroom as well as her passion for
literature and writing. She believes that teaching is not a job as much
as it is a calling. Janet Perry:
6th Math, 7th Pre-Algebra, and 8th
Algebra
Mrs. Perry received her B.A. degree and secondary certification in
Math and Physics from Texas Woman’s University. She received her MEd.
in Math and Secondary Education from Sam Houston State University.
Janet taught in the public schools in Texas, Oklahoma and Utah for
the past 34 years. She is married with two children – Lisa, 27, and
John, 18, a recruit in the United States Marine Corps.
Sue Scruggs:
6, 7, 8 Religious
Studies
Ms. Scruggs has a B. A. degree in Secondary Education and Physical Education/ Health, with a minor in History from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. She received her M. A. from Aquinas Institute, St. Louis, Missouri. Sue has earned Master Level Catechist from the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois and the Archdiocese of San Antonio. While at Providence, she has taught religion, speech and English.
