Providence Student Chosen for C.S.I. Camp SAN ANTONIO – Amy Augustyniak, who will be a junior at Providence in the fall, is spending a week in June at the C.S.I. Converse College Summer Camp, sponsored Converse College, South Carolina. Augustyniak was one of 18 students from around the country who was selected to explore the world of forensic science. Her experience will include securing a crime scene, gathering clues and processing evidence in science. Participants will work with a chemist and geneticist to solve a variety of forensic cases and will tour the Greenville Crime Lab. The activities planned are intended to develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in the context of intriguing and, sometimes, surprising evidence. Augustyniak’s involvement in various activities at Providence extends to JROTC, volleyball and, last spring, in the musical “Annie.”
